Yoga- Gentle, Age 50+, Online Live

NOTE:  Senior Fitness Programs are suspended at Federated Church until further notice.

Gentle Yoga – Fridays- 10:30-11:30am
Grab your mat, a towel, strap (belt, long scarf or towel will do!), chair and water bottle for 1 hour stretch! We will be in the chair, standing, and/or on the floor. Be sure to download the Zoom app on your computer and mute your mic before class.

WAIVER AGREEMENT: In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Williston Recreation & Parks Senior Fitness Programs, I hereby release the Town of Williston, its elected or appointed officials, instructors, agents and/or employees, from all liability to the participants for any and all loss of damage or any claim resulting there from on account of injury to the participants while participants are engaged in a Williston Recreation & Parks Senior Fitness Programs.  The participants understand that serious accidents occasionally occur in sports-related or other recreation activities and that participants occasionally sustain serious injuries as a consequence thereof. Knowing the risks, dangers and unpredictability of such related activities, participants hereby assume full responsibility for the risk of bodily injury while participating in a Williston Recreation & Parks Senior Program.  I expressly agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Vermont and that if any portion hereof is invalid, the balance shall continue in full force and effect.

  • Download Zoom and enter your name- first time only

  • Join the meeting to participate with your preference with or without video. 

  •      If you choose the without video option, you will see the instructor only, she will not see you.

  • Click the Computer Audio to hear the instructor.

  • You are set to go- Enjoy!

The program is for those 50+ who are seeking a Yoga class that is gentler on the body.  The focus will be to mindfully breathe while executing basic poses in a slower paced, relaxing environment.  Modifications will be demonstrated to adapt to participants' needs through this inviting and supportive program. 

Instructor: Toni Kunker 
Bio: Toni is a certified land, aqua, and senior fitness instructor, personal trainer, and 3rd Degree Black Belt, with 30 years teaching experience in the fitness industry.  She has worked with a variety of populations ranging from children, teens, developmentally disabled adults, adults, and seniors.  Toni loves all things health and fitness.  She enjoys spending time with her family and rescue dogs, being outdoors xc and downhill skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, running, as well as exploring the arts through dance, music and arts and crafts.
