Are you looking for strategies to decrease stress, get a better nights’ sleep, feel more calm, or enjoy the present moment with less worry and distraction?  The Koru Mindfulness program is a 4 week curriculum designed to teach the basic skills of mindfulness and meditation to adults through a series of simple exercises and the development of a realistic home-based practice.  Developed at Duke University, the program was originally aimed at college students but has been increasingly adapted for adults of all ages.

Instructor: Carrie Williams Howe
Bio: Carrie is the Executive Director of the Vermont Higher Education Council and has a PhD in educational leadership with a focus on adult learning.  She is a long-time practitioner of yoga and mindfulness and frequently facilitates professional development workshops and trainings for faculty, staff and students in Vermont and is excited to be bringing her mindfulness training to the community setting.
